Whether I’m singing my own music or other people’s, what is important to me is truth and authenticity.”

Exceptionalvocalist,multi-instrumentalist, fantastic songwriter and sound designer, Julie is not only one of the brightest jazz artists of her generation, but also one of the most versatile. Her interpretations, always very elegant and deeply personal, subtly blend the heritage of tradition withmodernity.Electronic elements, jazz complexity and folk songs, all find their place in her sound. With this open-minded approach, she balances emotional depth with sonic boldness, creating vibrant soundscapes that shift from delicate whispers to raw power. Her original compositions and arrangements as well are simply mesmerizing.
The impressionistic melodies of Maurice Ravel ignited her love for music at a very young age. This budding passion led her to begin piano lessons at the Conservatory at the age of five, eventually signing her first artist contract with Sony Music at just 19 years old.
On stage, under the guidance of mentors, she immersed herself in the fascinating world of be-bop. With an impressive natural swing and a modern ear, Julie is often invited to collaborate on numerous projects with iconic figures such as Manu Katché, Ali Jackson, Jacob Karlzon, Hadrien Féraud, Médéric Collignon., Laurent Courthaliac, Sam Tessier etc. They have all been charmed by her authenticity, artistic rigor, and soulful presence. Notably, she made history as the first woman to host the legendary jazz club "Duc des Lombards"'s jam sessions in Paris.
Despite receiving numerous prestigious collaboration offers, notably from Éric Legnini and Jacky Terrasson, Julie took full creative control of her debut album, Out of Chaos, released in 2018. Not only did she write the lyrics and music, but she also handled the arrangements and artistic direction. The album was brilliantly recorded live, featuring a carefully selected ensemble of remarkable musicians (Tony Paeleman, Pierre Perchaud, Viktor Nyberg, and Donald Kontomanou) . It is a touching homage to the filmmaker and composer Charlie Chaplin. Her next opus that she produced entirely on her own is a collection of magnificent sacred songs that pay tribute to the greatness of nature and the magic of tales. It promises to be particularly wonderful and is eagerly awaited in 2026.
